4Chan is a well-known English-language anonymous web forum. This platform does not require registration, and you do not need to provide a username to start a discussion or set a topic. This allows users to remain anonymous. The site is popular because it gives the opportunity to talk about taboo topics and the freedom to discuss and publish any information. Here you can find memes, provocations, trolling, various kinds of discussions, stumble upon fake news and much more. All information is available in the form of a message board with images that are divided into topics: anime, music, art, culture, sports, politics, video games, photography, manga and more. In other words, 4Chan is an inexhaustible source of content. The forum is based on one of the most popular Japanese channels - Futaba.
Revealing anonymity on 4Chan
The forum management assures that users maintain the anonymity of their identity. Indeed, many ads on 4Chan are signed under the pseudonym or nickname “Anonymous”. The site administration does not force you to disclose your identity. There is a version that it was from the audience of 4Chan that the hacker group Anonymous was formed.
As practice shows, in fact, the personal information of users is at risk. We delved into history and found a court case from ancient times, where interesting information surfaced. The case featured evidence against David Kernell, which contained the IP addresses of 4Chan users. And it all fell into the hands of the FBI when 4Chan obtained a search warrant and turned the information over to law enforcement.
Thus, by calculating the IP address, you can easily reveal the identity of a person. If you want to protect your data when entering the 4Chan website, then use a proxy server.
Solving the issue with bans on 4Chan
Users on 4Chan have no restrictions on posting content. Despite this, any incoming information is checked by the web forum moderator. If for some reason you violated the rules within this platform, you will be calculated by IP and banned. But such cases are rare, because this is a free site. But for spam mailings there is a high probability of getting a ban. 4Chan boasts good anti-spam and anti-bot systems. The use of VPN services during the scraping process may also be subject to a ban. Such a maneuver is easily revealed here.
If you are going to parse the site, it is better to use an individual proxy server with a clean IP address for this purpose. The fact is that the 4Chan security system quickly responds to the number of requests that come from one IP address. In this case, the risk of blocking the IP address increases, as the system recognizes this as bot activity. Using a proxy server, you can correctly distribute the load of search queries and scrape the site faster. It is important to understand that the more proxy servers request data from the 4Chan server, the less suspicion your IP address will cause.
Buy proxy for 4Chan
The proxy server will keep you anonymous and help you parse platform data. In order to publish content on the site, use a server proxy. If you plan to parse, choose several proxy servers.
When purchasing a proxy server, we recommend avoiding free options that are freely distributed on the Internet. Free proxies slow down your internet speed a lot and put your personal data at risk because it's an open connection. It is better to give preference to paid proxies that guarantee the user's privacy and work on a secure protocol.
On our site you will find detailed reviews of the most famous proxy providers, where we have written all the pros and cons of each service. This will help you make a choice and get a quality product at the best price.
