Reddit is an information channel and forum, ranked 19th in terms of popularity among websites around the world. A large number of users ensures that there will always be a community, called a subreddit, that matches your interests. If this is not available, then you can do it yourself.
Creating an account on Reddit is free and users can post just about anything.
Unlike other sites, Reddit allows you to “vote” for your favorite posts and give negative ratings if the content is not of high quality.
Reddit is so widespread on the Internet that you can find almost everything there: from news to entertainment content, which fully replaces social networks.
The bulk of social networks carefully monitors fake accounts, and Reddit is famous for the freedom of action for users. For example, you can have multiple accounts and not get banned, but the standard group laws, observance of which is mandatory, no one has canceled - insults, spam, etc. entail an inevitable ban on the user's IP address.
Reddit does not function in all countries (for example, in Indonesia, China, Russia, India, the service is not available). If you are unable to access the site, use a proxy server, it will change your network location and IP address. An alternative to a proxy server is a VPN, but it is not as efficient as a proxy. The main difference between a VPN and a proxy is that all users are connected to the same IP - the ban received one, the ability to use the site or application will be limited to everyone. This will not happen with a proxy, the use continues until the account is blocked. By following all the rules of the Internet resource, you will be able to avoid this.
On Reddit you can find information about everything, because due to its popularity it contains a large number of communities (During 2022, there were more than 100 thousand communities on Reddit) - just write a query in the search bar and look for the information you need.
In addition to manual search, there is also an automatic one, called parsing. Parsing is an automated collection and systematization of information from open sources using scripts, but this method has its own nuances: using one IP address can lead to account blocking. In this regard, for greater productivity and less risk, multiple proxy servers will be required. In addition, it is not safe to use one proxy. Otherwise, you will be blocked for suspicious activity. Suspicious activity refers to a large number of requests in a short period of time. Using a proxy server, you will not encounter this.
Conclusion
In this article, we have analyzed what advantages a proxy has when working with Reddit, but choosing a place to rent a proxy remains an equally important task. Free proxy servers are in high demand in the network. But they are unreliable, because due to their prevalence, they can be slow due to the simultaneous connection of several people to the same server. The privacy of your data is also in question. It is possible that the public proxy you have chosen was created specifically to collect personal information. Fraudsters can intercept data about your wallets, gain access to your social networks, and more.
To avoid this, you should purchase proxy servers on trusted sites. But even a paid server is not a guarantee that it will be good - both a free proxy and a paid one can do their job poorly. Our rating of proxy services will help you decide on the choice of a reliable provider, in which, in addition to reviews of real users, the pros and cons of each service are presented.
